Cell Therapy

Cell therapy consists in a transplant of cells which can be either taken from the patient (autograft /autotransplant) or from another individual.

In the case where the cells are taken directly from the patient, they will have to be corrected by a gene transfer before they are delivered back into the body. This procedure is also known as an ex vivo gene therapy (because the genes are corrected outside of the body). |
